Grillen, Chillen, Kasten killen! Summer has officially started

As predicted in our previous article (Sommerfeeling Pur), on the 9 + 10. June, summer cooperated to make the student party at Vorstrasse ft. Spittaler Strasse 2023 a super successful event.

This letters were a decoration highlight!

We were happy to see how the festival grows and renews itself with each year. Those who have visited previous editions witnessed some positive changes and how the spirit of the festival —the good vibes and the summer celebration— has managed to maintain itself over time.

First stage.

Second stage.

Relaxed area under the trees.

Some of the aspects that visitors most appreciated in this edition are: the relaxed and happy atmosphere (of course); the always affordable prices along with the possibility of bringing your own food and drinks (great!); the Pfand system that works well for both staff and attendees; the clean and sufficient bathrooms; the interesting session of Bieryoga; and the distribution of both stages and musical proposals. Among the great successes we also noticed that there was always someone from the staff nearby ready to help anyone who needed it.

Cute plus.

The company makes the festival.

The Pfand system (1 Euro pro Becher) worked with Chips and/or Geldkarten.

Variety of drinking options.

Some suggestions that we took for the following years are: the desire to increase the variety of musical genres presented. Since the student composition of Uni Bremen includes many nationalities, some attendees would have liked to listen to more international music. Likewise, the culinary offer, which already includes grill snacks, crepes, and pommes, could be diversified to other international delicacies.

More deco.

Medical assistance.

However, all the students we talked to assured that the Sommerfest Vorstrasse ft. Spittaler Strasse was experienced as a fun and vibrant weekend! It was certainly the best start to a promising season of festivals and cultural events for Bremen. If you liked the Sommerfest, don’t miss the Open Campus (23 + 24. June), the Uni Nacht Summer Open Air (01. July) and of course the Breminale (12 – 16. July).

See you there!
