Interviews

The second part of my data was derived from interviews with lecturers, tutors and students of the two classes. (For the Thick Descriptions which constitute the first part of my data, please click here.)

Out of the many models which exist to structure an interview, it was the approach of a semi-standardised interview which seemed to fit this particular research best. For more information about this model, please click here.

With consent of the interviewees the interviews were audio-recorded and then transcribed. Interview transcriptions differ from the interviews you can find in newspapers for example. To find out more about this topic, please click here.
