Education as a „science education“ focuses on (1) improving current education processes in order to better equip citizens with the necessary knowledge and skills to engage in debates on research and innovation; and (2) increase the number of researchers (promoting scientific talent).
The aim of the STARBIOS2 project is to develop a model of RRI literacy and to create training modules for its implementation, to carry out and evaluate them with different target groups. The RRI training modules will also be available to students and scientists after completion of the STARBIOS2 project.
Examples of good practice in RRI Education are the NanoCompetence Research Training Group and the Backstage Science Teaching Lab.
