It is very unfortunate that none of the participants has used the opportunity to actively get involved with the research by commenting on the transcript of their interviews or any other data collected. A reason for this might be the time which passed between the conduct of the interviews and the upload of the transcripts. Although I reminded the participants of their option to comment once the transcripts were uploaded, they might not have felt engaged or connected enough with the research anymore to make use of it. Some might also have been discouraged by the public nature of their comment. On the other hand, it is also possible that some participants actually read their transcripts but simply did not have any comments. For future research projects, I will try to upload the transcript as soon as possible after the interview, think of further ways to encourage the participants to make use of their comment function and also provide the opportunity to comment privately via email.
