Welcome to the STARBIOS2 website of the University of Bremen!
STARBIOS 2 – Structural Transformation to Attain Responsible BIOSciences is a European project funded by the HORIZON 2020 program. The aim is to implement the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) approach in universities and research institutions. To this end, comprehensive action plans (APs) are being developed in the six European partner institutions involved in the project. Based on the results and experiences of the action plans, guidelines and a model to support the implementation of the RRI approach are also derived in other research institutions.
For the life sciences, STARBIOS 2 wants to show a way to better connect research with the needs and values of society.
The STARBIOS 2 project has a duration of 4 years (2016-2020).
It will be generously funded by the European Commission with € 3.5 million.
