Prof. Dr. Claudia Polzin-Haumann (Saarland University, Germany)

Prof. Polzin-Haumann has been full professor of Romance Linguistics (with a focus on applied linguistics and the didactics of multilingualism) at Saarland University since 2006. Together with Eva Leitzke-Ungerer she has published an important volume on varieties of Spanish in foreign language teaching.

Prof. Dr. Matthias Hutz (Freiburg University of Education, Germany)

Prof. Hutz has been full professor of the didactis of English language and literature at Freiburg University of Education since 2005. He has published numerous key articles on the integration of varieties of English into the English language classroom.

The title of his talk is “Teaching and learning pluricentric languages: How can we integrate linguistic diversity and variation in schooling and higher education?”
