Where can I find information about the current regulations at the university because of the corona pandemic?
All regulations of the university because of the corona pandemic can be found .here. They university also regularly send mails with information about the current situation. Its good to read them carefully, as you will find everything important regarding for example the use of the buildings, your assessments, and all security regulations.
Which buses and trams arrive at the university?
If you want to get to university you can take the bus line 22 (from Kattenturm), the 31 ( from Horn-Lehe, Borgfeld, Nedderland), the 21 (from Horn, Sebalsbrück) or the 28 ( from Walle/ Überseestadt). With tram line 6 you can get to Neustadt via central station.
Where can I park my car?
There is a big parking lot at the central area. There are also several parking spaces at the SFG and an underground car park at the GW2.
Where can I spend the time between my seminars?
If the weather is nice, there are many places to sit along the boulevard or on the “Uniwiese” at the central area. When its could outside you may sit on the red sofas on the ground floor of the GW2 or in the cafeteria.
Is there a possibility to print at the university?
Yes, there are several printers at the library. Its easiest to use the printers right behind the entry on the right side, as you can keep you jacket and belongings. You can either pay with coins, or use your mensa card. The stationary shop also has a printer which you can use and pay with cash.
How long can I borrow books from the library?
Where can I get a mensa card?
You can get a mensa card at the service point in the mensa. You need your student card and 10 €, 5€ for the card, and 5€ to charge it.
What if I lose my mensa card?
That’s actually not a big problem. At the service point in the mensa you can block your old card and get a new one for 5 €. If you still had money on your old card, it can be transferred to the new one.
Who can help me if I have problems with the recognition of my assessments?
Usually the central examination office is responsible for these types of questions. You can either go to their office at the boulevard, or search for answers on their website. Sometimes the secretary of your subject can help as well.
Yes, of course! You could, for example get engaged in a subject related commission, or in the student representative. Depending on how you would like to get involved you could take a look at your StugA or the AstA. They are always searching for interested students. You can find contact details of the AstA here.

The University offers several services if you’re a studying parent. The „Familiy-Website“ of the uni could be the first thing to take a look at. You will find basic information and contact details here The AstA also has a good overview over care possibilities.
