Stabilizing our course on FaceBook
Now that we have settled on using a humble FaceBook group (Open Content for Open Education), we are doing our course work using the boring “Posted Items” and “Discussion Board”. So far this is rather non-innovative and could be done with any other tool, so we don’t have any advantage by using FaceBook (see the blog entries before to see what went wrong with using other applications).
The next step now has to be to use apps. We will try out the “Wiki Whiteboard” from Wetpaint. Nevertheless, the more I am using FaceBook, the more I am doubting that there are really advantages of FaceBook as a social network operating platform for E-Learning contexts.
