We invite contributions from a range of research topics related to the way language is used in the English-speaking world, including but not limited to the following:
- Language and gender
- Multilingualism
- Second language acquisition
- World Englishes
- Lexical creativity
- Ecolinguistics
- Computer-mediated communication
- Multimodality
- Language and education
Presenters can either opt for an oral presentation (max. 15 minutes plus 5 minutes of questions and answers) or a poster presentation (A1 or A0 format).
Submission Guidelines
We ask all students to submit an abstract of their research project (250-400 words), the title of the presentation and the presenters’ contact information electronically by Sunday, June 22th, 2025.
We handle abstract submissions and participant registration through Stud.IP.
Please sign into the Study group “5th Bremen Student Conference in English Linguistics (BSCEL5)” to register as a participant. To register as a contributor, please complete the questionnaire provided on the main page and upload your abstract to the files folder.
