1st International Workshop on Teaching the Internet of Things (Teach-IoT)

1st International Workshop on Teaching the Internet of Things (Teach-IoT)

The Internet of Things has been one of the fastest growing research topics and becomes increasingly important also for the industry. It spans various applications, from environmental monitoring and agriculture to industry 4.0 and medical devices and is thus relevant for most students at all levels and in many different disciplines. However, this topic is also inherently hard to teach because of the necessity to teach on real embedded hardware that is costly and complex to handle.

This workshop invites researchers, teachers and industry practitioners around the globe to present and share their experience in terms of teaching and training methods, best practices, hardware and software platforms, project and application topics, and associated materials they use in their teaching activities. The goal is to produce a comprehensive repository of the state of the art in this area, potentially resulting in a joint database to be shared publicly and a joint publication after the workshop.
