It starts on 1<sup>st<\/sup> December 2021.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">With their &#8222;Advent Lectures&#8220;, <a href=\"http:\/\/nawilab.de\/uns.htm\">chemistry teacher Dr. Stephan Leupold<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iup.uni-bremen.de\/eng\/departments\/remote-sensing\/index.html\">physics professor Dr. Justus Notholt<\/a> enthral a wide audience. Year after year, they explain physical and chemical phenomena with fascinating experiments in an entertaining and educational way for young and old. The &#8222;show lectures&#8220; are a firm Christmas tradition for many visitors and are therefore always booked up quickly. Unfortunately, the Christmas lectures have to be cancelled again this year due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The success story continues<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nThe first virtual advent calendar was launched last winter. With success! With over 1.7 million views so far, the experiment videos of the <em>Advent Calendar 2020<\/em> are among the most popular on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCT-F2xvlVi3IAcSrVT_b_Ow\">YouTube channel of the University of Bremen<\/a>. And this year&#8217;s advent calendar is also eagerly awaited.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Do you want to know why aluminium burns, how optical illusions work and what a reeling sponge is doing at the university?
