Moin! My name is Marie, and I study Cultural Sciences and Pedagogy (B.A) in the 5th semester at the University Bremen. This summer I had the opportunity to be a part of the team behind this blog system, in context of preparing and phrasing some of the text modules.<\/p>\n
When I took a similar course last year - as you might do right now -,\u00a0 it sparked my interest for the field of Sensory Studies. Focusing on the smell trek, I wrote my academic paper on the concept of smell based tourism. My studies are rooted in my travels to the Scottish Highlands in 2020, and feature spots like Edinburgh, the Isle of Skye and the Scottish Highlands. In the future I want to complete my masters degree in the field of Sensory-, Museum-, or Gender Studies, since I would love to go into academic research one day.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>
My name is Jaqueline Skottki and I am Dr. Wei\u00dfk\u00f6ppel's teacher's assistant and proof reader for this project. I am currently studying History and Cultural Studies, as I am interested in everything culture and historic.<\/p>\n

I study German Philology and Cultural Sciences (B.A.) at the University of Bremen and I am a rather audiphile person. I love everything related to music and sound, which is why I chose to take part in the first sensory seminar by Dr. Wei\u00dfk\u00f6ppel and Dr. Holzscheiter. In my freetime - besides making or listening to music - I like to work or play games at the computer and since I am always interested in extending my knowledge about doing stuff like recording or producing some sort of medium, I chose to do my final project for the sensory seminar about soundscapes in video games (in particular: The Ghost of Tsushima) and how a well planned and consisent soundscape is crucial for the gamer's embodiment in a fictional world.
