Bremen is located in the northwest of Germany and is served by an international airport<\/a>. There are plenty of regular direct train connections to and from other large cities in the region (e.g. Hamburg, Hannover). University and airport are connected by tram line 6\u00a0[download map]<\/a> which also stops at the conference venue (stop called “Universit\u00e4t Zentralbereich”). Classes will take place on the university campus in the GW2 (humanities building, computer lab) and SFG buildings. [interactive campus map]<\/a><\/p>\n

Getting around in the city<\/strong><\/p>\n

Probably the most efficient way to get around in the city is to make use of public transport, esp. buses and trams. The local transport company (BSAG) offers a 7-day ticket<\/a> for the price of 22,80 Euros. You can buy the ticket at two major outlets: at the central train station<\/a>, and at one of the major tram stations close to the city center (“Domsheide<\/a>“).<\/p>\n
