Declared to be one of the biggest urban construction projects in Europe, the Bremer Überseestadt is the youngest and fastest developing part of Bremen at the moment. The project started in the early 2000 ́s and mainly consists of residential areas and industrial estate. As the Überseestadt is placed where a harbor once was, it is now being revitalised.

The Überseestadt is a 25 minute-walk far from the city centre and shows an extensive infrastructure. It is also very easy to get to the city centre by bus.

This part of Bremen is very new and this is why there are many modern buildings. The residences and apartments often lie right at the river Weser, what makes it very attractive to live for many people. The rents are above the average rent of apartments in Bremen.

Although its history is still young, the Überseestadt also offers a lot of sights and oppurtunities to experiece culture. Museums and historical buildings can be visited on several places in the Überseestadt. About 2.000 people live in the Überseestadt.
