Walle + Findorff

Walle – There is a saying in Bremen Walle: ́In Walle wohnen sie alle! ́, which means that there is a lot of multiculturalism, whether the people have different backgrounds or whether they are young, old, have children or not… Walle is very multicultural. It is located next to Findorff. Originally built as a district for the harbor-workers to live, Walle now turned into a popular place to live for many people. The rents are mainly under the average of the rents in Bremen. There are about 28.000 people living in Walle, of which about 22% of the people moved in from other countries. It is said, that Walle is the greenest part of Bremen, because of its parks and green areas in general.

Findorff – Findorff is – as well as Walle – directly connected to the city centre. About 25.000 people live here – 10% of the inhabitants moved in from other countries. Unlike Walle, Findorff is comparatively small of its size, which means, that there is a high density of inhabitants. Many students live here, because the rents are affordable for them.

As well as Walle, Findorff is very multicultural. There are many small shops and restaurants. Many street, or public markets take place during the whole week. This is why Findorff is famous for its many beautiful markets.

In the Advisory Board election in 2015, the majority of the inhabitants voted for SPD (Social Democratic Party of Germany).

There are both – in Walle and in Findorff – many kindergartens, schools and churches.
