One of the many issues discussed in this class were the difficulties indigenous people from around the world face in tertiary education. Methods of teaching and learning which are essential to their culture, such as storytelling, sharing knowledge amongst equals and connecting it to experience and spirituality, are often considered un-scientific and are consequently banned from universities.
